College to Careers

The Career Treking College to Careers curriculum is an interactive program designed to teach college students and young professionals the life skill of conducting an effective job search. This proven curriculum encompasses all aspects of job searching, including career assessment, professional interview skills and effective job search strategies.

The curriculum has three major components:

Assess Myself

In this section, the student will learn what they are good at, what they like to do and what types of jobs and organizations appeal to them. By completing a series of inventories, identifying job possibilities and determining gaps in their background, they will be able to create short and long term career goals. These goals list potential best fit jobs, industries and companies and are the drivers of a successful job search.

Prepare Myself

The second step of this proven process will help students clearly articulate how their past experience has prepared them for the jobs they are gong after. Professional interview skills training will enable the students to approach any interview with confidence and poise.

Sell Myself

The final section instructs the student on how to conduct an effective job search. They will develop a job search action plan, listing specific activities to approach each target employer, learn networking strategies and use the tool provided to stay organized.

The Career Treking College to Careers curriculum can be delivered by a member of the Career Treking staff on site, online, via webinar, teleclinics, podcasts or can be licensed to the career services staff for execution.
