Partner with Career Treking for personalized job search assistance and resume building advice throughout your college experience. Meet with the staff at Career Treking throughout each year to identify courses, activities and internships that will enable you to capitalize on their college experience to develop marketable skills and identify appropriate career choices regardless of major. Clients approach the job market with clearly defined career goals, professional interviewing skills and networking skills as well as a written job search plan designed to land the job that’s right for you.
Description
Work one on one with a career coach to:
- Assess skills, interests and work place preferences
- Research careers that fit within your unique set of skills and experiences
- Identify and develop marketable skills which will set you above the rest
- Learn how to make the most of the resources available to you on campus
- Set clear, specific career goals that fit you and work in any economy
- Articulate who you are and why you are the best person for the job
- Write a resume and cover letter that compels prospective employers to interview you
- Approach a job (or internship) interview with poise and confidence
- Create a strategic job search action plan designed to make proper use of all job sources available.
Meetings can be done in person, over the phone or by webcam.

Pricing
The price for the comprehensive program is $4,000. This price includes a minimum of three individual meetings per year, unlimited e-mail and phone access in between, as well as all the tools you will need to approach the job market with the greatest degree of success.
Hourly Programs
Career Treking is also available to work with clients on an hourly basis to meet a specific need. Some clients may need help only on portions of the job search and can get this help by purchasing a minimum of two hours time. The fee per hour is $200, payable in advance. Purchase two or more hours, and you set the agenda.
Workshops
Attend workshops facilitated by Career Treking that present various portions of the job search.
- Effective Job Search Strategies for the College Student (for those who are unfamiliar with how to conduct an effective job search)
- Setting Realistic Career Goals
- Strategic Job Search Strategies in a Difficult Job Market (for those who have been looking and are not finding success)
- Professional Interview Skills (for those who want to develop and sharpen their interview skills)
- After the Interview: Appropriate Follow-Up
Each workshop is a half-day in length and can be accessed in person or by video conference. Click here to see the most recent schedule of events.
The cost of each workshop is $500. There is a minimum of four participants to hold a workshop. Some workshops will limit attendance to ensure proper attention to each participant.
