William and Mary Senior Lands the Job at SRA
Beth is a senior at the College of William and Mary. She has a major in public policy and minor in math. Beth’s interests include politics and how the government works. Throughout college, Beth actively partook internships and other activities to develop the marketable skills she would need to pursue a career in consulting. In addition to her strong academic record, Beth was able to demonstrate leadership skills (she was a swimming coach, as well as an RA in her sorority house), administrative skills (she held a summer job at a local law firm handling the paperwork for real estate foreclosures) as well as a proven track record of work experience. Beth knew she wanted to be a consultant, so she researched opportunities with firms that had a strong training program and government connection. Beth also networked with alumni from those firms. Because she was proactive in developing her resume and pursuing her job search, Beth can now enjoy the rest of her senior year knowing she has the job she wants.
