Once again…. new numbers. According to a recent survey sponsored by CareerBuilder.com and Robt Half International, there is some telling ews for entry level professionals.
First, the most likely job growth areas will be in technology, customer service and sales.
Second, multi taskers, self starters and creative problem solvers will be the most in demand.
Finally, 28% of employers polled said they would hire entry level professionals when the economy improves.
WHAT DOES THIS MEAN FOR YOU?
Be sure to include those sought after skills in your resume and cover letter. Have examples of how you have demonstrated these skills ready for the interview. And, pursue the jobs that are expected to grow in an industry that is expected to grow. There is no point trying to get a job in journalism… they are contracting not expanding.
