The participation for the career bootcamp in NYC next week is much less than expected. Two thirds of college grads expect to have a job within 3 months of graduation. Wow. both statements seem counter inutitive to me. This is the worst job market for college grads in decades yet there seems to be a lack of concern coming from the grads.
Our advice: get out there and start now! Things are getting somewhat better but hiring will lag any recovery the markets will show.
Create a plan for yourself to develop the skills you will need for that ideal job. Get out and do some volunteer work, part time work or temp work. The time to get moving is NOW!
