I keep hearing about the crisis in the financial markets.  Listen — I know it’s important but lots of people have their own financial crisis going on at home. And when you are looking for that first or second job, the word “crisis” scares people. People assume there are no jobs out there so why bother looking.  Well, I am here to tell you that there ARE jobs out there. People leave jobs every day of the week for various reasons and the work still has to get done. The candidates who are in the best position are the ones who don’t listen to the nay sayers and keep going. The keep looking, notworking, asking around. They hang out with people who are positive and who are on your side. (not everyone is, you know). When a job opens up, THEY are the ones that employers know about and as a result, will call. Remember, you only need one (job, that is).
